Serving Through Teaching

We welcome all individuals who are interested in supporting the madrasa, whether or not they hold formal certifications. Our goal is to create opportunities for those who are sincere and willing to teach and serve the community. To ensure high quality learning for our students, all potential volunteers go through an assessment. This includes evaluating their ability to read the Qur’an correctly, apply key tajweed rules, and teach with clarity and confidence. Once an individual meets the required standard, they are welcomed as part of our teaching team. We are grateful for those who dedicate their time and effort to educating others and spreading the Qur’an.

Teachers are expected to support students in developing strong recitation, understanding essential tajweed rules, such as proper pronunciation (makhaarij), elongation (madd), and stopping and starting (waqf), and building consistency in their learning. Once an individual meets the required standard, they are welcomed as part of our teaching team. We are grateful for those who dedicate their time and effort to educating others and spreading the Qur’an. Teaching the Qur’an is a form of Sadaqatul Jariyah, a continuous charity. Every letter taught carries reward, and that impact continues through the generations that follow.

As the Prophet ﷺ said, “The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”
